Outreach Performances

Outreach performances are an integral part of Ballet Lubbock’s season. For example, every season, free Nutcracker tickets are distributed to social service agencies throughout West Texas and Eastern New Mexico.

Children and families served by nonprofits like Buckner Children’s Home, Lubbock Regional MHMR, Women’s and Children’s Protective Services, the South Plains Food Bank, senior centers, and area schools, have the opportunity to enjoy a fully-staged Nutcracker and experience the magic of this holiday ballet at no cost.

Response to these outreach performances is overwhelmingly positive—the theatre is regularly filled to capacity and the energy of the audience is palpable. Donations, including grants and corporate sponsorships, make these accessible performances an ongoing opportunity.
